Justice (Retd.) Chander Bhushan Barowalia, Lokayukta of Himachal Pradesh, met Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan today.
During the meeting, Justice (Retd.) Barowalia submitted the Annual Report of the Lokayukta Office and engaged in a detailed exchange on the performance of the institution and issues concerning public welfare and governance.
The Governor underlined the importance of the Lokayukta as a key pillar in strengthening democratic values, transparency, and accountability in administration. He observed that the institution plays a crucial role in promoting good governance and expressed confidence that it would continue to function with integrity, fairness, and credibility.
Justice (Retd.) Barowalia thanked the Governor for the interaction and reiterated that the Lokayukta Office remains committed to addressing public grievances in a timely, impartial, and effective manner, while continuing to uphold its mandate with dedication and responsibility.
