Governor Kavinder Gupta released two books, “My Himachal, My Journey” authored by retired IAS officer Dr. Srikant Baldi and a poetry collection titled “Shauryabodh” by noted litterateur Sanjeev Verma, at Lok Bhavan today.
The book “My Himachal, My Journey” presents a reflective account of Dr. Baldi’s administrative career, professional experiences and his deep connection with Himachal Pradesh. Written in an engaging style, it highlights the transformation of the state over the years, its rich mountain culture, the warmth of its people, and several significant experiences from his public service. The book also includes personal memories and inspiring incidents that offer readers deeper insight into the spirit of Himachal Pradesh.
The poetry collection “Shauryabodh” focuses on themes of patriotism, courage and sacrifice of soldiers, social sensitivity and issues concerning common people. Through its poems, the collection aims to encourage positive thinking, moral values, self-reflection and a stronger sense of responsibility towards society and the nation.
Congratulating both authors, the Governor said that literature plays an important role in shaping society and strengthening national consciousness. He noted that such works not only preserve experiences and values but also inspire future generations towards meaningful contribution and thoughtful living.
