The grounds of Chapslee School turned into a lively arena of competition and celebration as the institution hosted its Annual Sports Day 2026 with enthusiasm, discipline, and spirited participation. The event was presided over by Abhishek Trivedi as Chief Guest.
The programme began with a ceremonial torch lighting by Sports Captain Varun Bhardwaj and team, marking the start of a day dedicated to endurance, unity, and teamwork. This was followed by a coordinated march past by students of Classes VII to X, showcasing discipline and school pride.
A range of sporting and recreational activities kept the atmosphere vibrant throughout the day, including fun races, tug-of-war events for boys and girls, yoga, and gymnastics displays that highlighted the school’s emphasis on fitness and holistic development. Parents also actively participated, adding to the festive spirit through events such as the ladies’ lemon race and gents’ tug of war.
The interschool 4x400m relay races stood out as the main attraction, featuring teams from Auckland Boys, Durga Public School, Laurette, Saraswati Paradise, Loreto Convent, Chelsea, and Chapslee School. In a strong performance, Chapslee School secured first position in both boys’ and girls’ categories.

- Girls: 1st – Chapslee School | 2nd – Loreto Convent | 3rd – Durga Public School
Individual excellence was recognised through Best Athlete awards across various age groups. The winners included Vedansh (U-10 Boys), Katyayni (U-10 Girls), Ekaksh (U-12 Boys), Nilakshi (U-12 Girls), Sarthak Sharma (U-14 Boys), Vidhi Rana (U-14 Girls), Tavish Thakur (U-16 Boys), Ridhima Thakur (U-16 Girls), Aryan Guleria (U-19 Boys), and Smayra Sahota (U-19 Girls).
The Overall Sports Championship was lifted by Shiwalik House, marking a consistent performance across multiple events.
The event concluded with a victory march past, prize distribution by the Chief Guest, a vote of thanks by Sports Captain Varun Bhardwaj, and the National Anthem. Principal Rajender Singh appreciated the efforts of students, staff, and parents, highlighting the spirit of discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed throughout the day.
