Chapslee School, Shimla organised a full-day district-level deliberation workshop for teachers on June 6, 2026, focusing on CBSE’s 2026–27 training theme, “Computational Thinking (CT) and Understanding Artificial Intelligence (AI).”
The workshop was designed to equip educators with modern pedagogical approaches to integrate computational thinking and AI concepts across subjects, enabling the creation of ethical, innovative and future-ready classrooms for students from Classes 3 to 8.
The sessions emphasized how emerging technologies can be effectively blended with traditional teaching methods to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy among students.
Principal Rajender Singh, in his address, highlighted the significance of NEP 2020 in reshaping education for future needs. He said that teachers must prepare students for careers that do not yet exist and stressed that computational thinking and AI are not just academic subjects but new ways of approaching learning and understanding the world. He expressed pride in the school’s initiative in leading this educational transformation in Shimla.
The workshop also featured paper presentations by participating teachers, of which the top three presentations have been forwarded to CBSE for consideration and possible inclusion in a national-level showcase.
The event concluded with appreciation for all teacher participants, acknowledging their creativity and active engagement in exploring innovative teaching methodologies.
