CM Sukhu on Thursday laid the foundation stone for a 50-bed integrated AYUSH hospital to be established within the premises of the District Ayurvedic Hospital in Dharamshala.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the state government is focused on strengthening healthcare services through an integrated approach that combines modern medicine with AYUSH systems. He stated that the proposed hospital would enhance the region’s healthcare infrastructure and ensure better access to holistic treatment facilities for the public.
Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated a shopping complex and entertainment centre at Charan, developed by Dharamshala Smart City Limited (DSCL) at a cost of ₹7.50 crore.
He said the newly developed facility would offer residents convenient access to shopping, entertainment and other essential services under one roof, reducing the need to travel outside the area for daily requirements.
The Chief Minister added that the project is expected to boost commercial activity in the locality by attracting more visitors, creating new opportunities for shopkeepers and small entrepreneurs, and contributing to the overall growth of the local economy.
