READY-HP to Strengthen Himachal’s Disaster Resilience

Chief Secretary K.K. Pant inaugurated a four-day workshop on the Resilient Action for Development and Disaster Recovery Himachal Pradesh (READY-HP) project, a World Bank-supported initiative, being held from July 28 to 31, 2026.

Addressing officers and implementing agencies, he stressed the need for strong coordination, clear responsibilities and efficient execution to ensure the project’s success. He said READY-HP will strengthen disaster resilience, improve infrastructure and support sustainable development across the state.

The workshop focused on the project’s institutional framework, implementation strategy, procurement, financial management, monitoring, quality assurance, grievance redressal and capacity building. Officials from various departments and agencies were briefed on their roles under the project.

The Chief Secretary said effective coordination and timely decisions would be key to achieving the vision of “Build Back Better” and creating a more resilient Himachal Pradesh.
