HP SC Commission Shines at National Awards

CM Sukhu has congratulated the Himachal Pradesh State Commission for Scheduled Castes for securing a place in the semi-finals of the prestigious SKOCH Award-2026. The Commission has also been awarded the SKOCH Order of Merit for its initiative “Welfare of Scheduled Castes.”

Commission Chairman Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman, along with members Digvijay Malhotra, Dr. Vijay Dogra and Kumari Shalini Jamwal, met the Chief Minister and shared details of the achievement.

The Chief Minister said the national-level recognition reflects the Commission’s commitment towards protecting the rights and promoting the welfare of the Scheduled Caste community in Himachal Pradesh. He termed the achievement a matter of pride for the state and said it would encourage institutions to work with greater dedication, transparency and accountability.

Sukhu appreciated the efforts of the Commission’s chairman, members and officials for strengthening social justice initiatives and ensuring effective implementation of welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes.

He expressed confidence that the Commission would continue its efforts with the same commitment and bring further recognition to Himachal Pradesh in the future.
