The two-day PMFME Conclave 2026, organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) at the India Habitat Centre, successfully concluded with a strong focus on capacity building, experience sharing, and recognizing excellence under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme. The national event brought together over 500 stakeholders, including state representatives, bank officials, technical experts, and local entrepreneurs.
A major highlight of the final day was the PMFME Award Ceremony, which honored top-performing States and Union Territories across Large, Medium, and Small categories, along with leading financial institutions and State Livelihood Missions (SRLMs/SULMs). Grassroots functionaries were also celebrated, with awards presented to standout District Nodal Officers (DNOs) and District Resource Persons (DRPs) for their exemplary field implementation.
The concluding day featured technical sessions led by NIFTEM directors on providing technology and training to micro-enterprises, alongside an inspiring session on leadership and entrepreneurship by Shiv Khera. Reaffirming its commitment to fostering an inclusive, market-driven food processing ecosystem, MoFPI emphasized scaling up support to transform micro-enterprises into sustainable, globally competitive businesses.
