Grounding economic progress in empathy and community welfare, Governor Kavinder Gupta highlighted that the true measure of a society’s strength is how well it cares for its most vulnerable. Speaking at the Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti celebrations organized by the Agarwal Sabha in Solan, the Governor urged citizens to combine financial success with active social responsibility and public service.
Paying rich tributes to Maharaja Agrasen’s timeless philosophy of ‘One Brick, One Rupee’ (Ek Eent, Ek Rupaya), the Governor noted that the core message of mutual support remains deeply relevant today. He emphasized that whether assisting needy students, sponsoring medical care for impoverished families, or generating skill-building opportunities for youth, collective contribution is key to inclusive growth.
Commending the Agarwal Sabha, Solan, for its nearly eight decades of dedicated service in education, healthcare, and community welfare, the Governor lauded the organization for fostering social harmony. Addressing the youth, he encouraged young minds to transition from job seekers into innovative entrepreneurs and job creators who solve real-world social problems.
Concluding his address, Governor Gupta called for three key pledges: pairing prosperity with selfless service, balancing personal achievements with civic duty, and strengthening unity across diverse communities. Earlier in the day, the Governor offered floral tributes at the statue of Maharaja Agrasen in Solan’s main market and felicitated outstanding local achievers alongside former Minister Dr. Rajeev Bindal.
