The Himachal Pradesh Government, through HPMC, has disbursed ₹35.68 crore to 16,877 orchardists under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) in 2026. The disbursement comprises ₹17.53 crore in direct payments and ₹18.15 crore worth of vital farming materials, including fertilizers, HMO, TSO, and machinery. An additional ₹12.13 crore for 7,059 orchardists is currently being cleared.
To fast-track all remaining dues, HPMC has announced firm submission deadlines for pending claims: October 30, 2026 for MIS-2024 and earlier; November 15, 2026 for MIS-2025 suppliers of up to 30 bags; and November 30, 2026 for supplies of 31 to 100 bags. A new mandatory seniority registration system has been instituted at all branch levels to assign sequential numbers to claims, guaranteeing transparent and ordered payouts.
