City Life School, Dhanda, (Shimla) celebrated its 15th Annual Day with a host of activities in commemoration of Gandhi Jayanti and birth anniversary of our former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, in the school premises here today. During the occasion students made presentations on the theme of Gandhi Jayanti through skits, songs and a fancy dress competitions. A science exhibition was also organised where the senior students presented subject related models on power generation etc, as well as an important issue “Save Girl Child” by the students.
The Chief Guest for the event Vijay Kumar Verma and Kiran Verma presented scholarships to the meritorious students of all classes in memory of their only son Vineetraj Verma. They had been associated with the school for the last 10 years. The Chairman of the School J.D. Sood informed that the school was operating classes from Nursery to Class 10th and was affiliated with the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board since the last 4 years.
Meritorious students of Class 10th, were also recipients of Incentives from the school education board under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). He told that some students got 100 per cent percentage and were recipient of Laptops and cash awards.
