The Bedeian Hues – Graduation Day 2019

The Graduation Day-2019, The Bedeian Hues was organized to bid farewell to the undergraduate students of Sixth Semester and the Postgraduate students at St. Bede’s College, Shimla. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. Purnima Chauhan, Secretary, Language Art & Culture, Government of Himachal Pradesh.

St Bede's College ShimlaIn a colour event, all the students of the outgoing class were divided into groups based on nine colours for the first round. They were adjudged for their gait, confidence and overall impact. Two participants from each of the nine colours were short listed for the second round. The three main winners were selected from a question and answer round by the judges on the basis of their wit and the content of the answers. The final three winners were:

Miss Persona – Tishya

Miss Articulate – Yakta Lal

Miss Eloquent – Dhruvika

St Bede's College ShimlaDifferent titles pertaining to poise, grace and confidence on the stage were also awarded. A number of Indian and Western dances, songs were presented during the function. Some first year students who worked hard and helped in organizing the function were also honoured. Dr. (Sr.) Beena John, College Principal and the chief guest gave the prizes to the winners.

In her address, Dr. Purnima encouraged the students to work for the community. The judges were Dr. Deepali Dhaul, Dr. Sapna Sharma and Dr. Shilpi Sood. The team of Dr. Deepti Pajni, Neha Walia, Unnati Chauhan Vashisht, Dr. Shweta Thakur and Dr. Savita Rana worked tirelessly to make this programme a success.
