The three-day long Interschool Bishop Gilbert Rego Football and Brother Steinmeyer Basketball Tournament organised by St. Edward’s School was inaugurated by the chief guest, Virendra Sharma (HAS) who is currently working as Director Elementary Education and is also the State Project Director, Integrated Scheme for School Administration.

The finals of the basketball tournament were played between St. Edward’s School and St. Luke’s, Solan, which after a thrilling action of the four-quarter matchup, St. Edward’s won, with a final score of 58-20.

The basketball final was followed by a musical evening held at the School Hall as Bhag Mal Thakur, SP Security State CID graced the event, which started with a melodious musical performance followed by Qawali. The chief guest addressed the gathering, followed by the felicitation ceremony by Principal Reverend Fr. Anil Sequeira.

After the conclusion of the musical evening, the final match of the Bishop Gilbert Rego Football Tournament began between St. Edward’s Team-A and Bishop Cotton School. Every player gave his best performances to win the trophy, using their skills, enthusiasm and as after an intense football play, Bishop Cotton School came out victorious and won. The final score being 1-0.

BR Sharma, Additional Commissioner, MC Shimla graced the final match of the tournament, who later felicitated the sponsors as well as the awarded the trophy to BCS players.

An amazing display of sportsmanship, charged emotions and brilliant display was seen among all the players.
