Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri is leading a delegation from Himachal Pradesh, currently visiting Austria and Switzerland to attend the INTERALPINE show and study ropeway transportation in the Alpine region of Europe. The delegation urged the two nations to share their technology and latest innovation for building ropeways in Himachal Pradesh. Exploring latest technology and innovation for ropeways

INTERALPINE at Innsbruck was the venue for the delegation to explore the latest technology and innovation in the ropeway industry. The world’s top manufacturers of ropeways, avalanche control equipment, and snow grooming machines exhibited their latest products, services, and innovations in cable car technology, snow-making systems, piste and rescue equipment, vehicles, and machines for alpine use, as well as safety and communication systems.

Adaptability of modern technology for Himachal Pradesh

The geographic and climatic conditions of Himachal Pradesh are similar to the Alpine regions of Europe, making the adaptability of similar modern techniques for the state possible. The delegation met with the owners of Leitner & POMA, MND and CEOs of the top world manufacturers of these technologies, Doppelmayr, and others to discuss the latest technologies and their suitability to the state.

Exploring eco-friendly road transportation solutions (Himachal Seeks Assistance In Building Eco-Friendly Ropeways)

The delegation also studied the Electric Cable Articulated City Bus network technology in Budapest and Bratislava, an eco-friendly road transportation solution that can be suitable for Himachal Pradesh. They also got acquainted with the Funicular Ropeway system at Nordkettebahnen from Innsbruck city center to Seegrub during their visit.

Discussions on Green and Clean Engine technology

Deputy Chief Minister Agnihotri discussed the initiatives being taken by the state government to adopt Green and Clean Engine technology in a big way with various top company CEOs of various ropeway companies. He also met with the Union Road, Transport & Highways Minister, Nitin Gadkari at Innsbruck, Austria.
