He said that the State Government is committed to fill up the vacant posts of teachers through H.P Public Service Commission, batchwise recruitment, by promotion and by rationalization of the staff so that study of students do not hamper for want of teachers. It is pertinent to mention that more than 12000 posts of teaching staff are vacant in the State mostly in far flung and tribal areas of the State.

The Education Minister said that the decision regarding the recruitment of teachers would be taken keeping in view of the interests of the students to ensure quality education and purely on the basis of merit. The State Government is committed to maintain transparency in the recruitment process across all the departments including the Education Department and adopting fair and transparent recruitment process is the top priority of the present State Government.
