HIMCOSTE (Himachal Pradesh Council for Science, Technology & Environment) is committed to the popularization of science as one of its key mandates. As part of their efforts, HIMCOSTE organizes the annual Children’s Science Congress in collaboration with the Department of Education, Government of Himachal Pradesh. This event aims to foster scientific curiosity and engagement among young minds.

The Children’s Science Congress encompasses six exciting activities: Science Quiz, Science Activity Corner, Mathematical Olympiad, Innovative Science Model, Scientific Project Report, and Science Skit. These activities provide opportunities for students to showcase their scientific knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

To participate in the Children’s Science Congress, students must register on the web portal of HIMCOSTE (http://agisac.gov.in/tribalgis and www.himcoste.gov.in) from 10th July to 31st August 2023. Registration is mandatory for students to take part in any of the congress activities. For detailed information and assistance with registration, teachers and students can reach out to their respective District Science Supervisors.

Promoting science among children is crucial for nurturing a scientific temperament and fostering innovation. HIMCOSTE’s Children’s Science Congress serves as a platform for young minds in Himachal Pradesh to explore their scientific potential and showcase their talent. By encouraging active participation and providing a supportive environment, this initiative aims to inspire a new generation of scientists and innovators.
