In an unprecedented moment for the nation, the Himachal Pradesh Police Orchestra, known for spreading joy and pride across the country, is poised to showcase its musical prowess at the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, from the 22nd to the 28th of this month.
Led by Inspector Vijay Kumar, the team, known for its commitment to bringing happiness to the people of Himachal Pradesh, is making history as the first Indian band to be shortlisted for a performance at IFFI.
Inspector Vijay Kumar revealed that the band’s latest song, “Tiranga,” recorded under the banner of Laxmikant Pyarelal in Mumbai, has also secured a spot on the IFFI shortlist. The song, penned by Shri Kevlaya Shah and composed by Guru Sharma, with direction by Rajeev Jambaval from Palampur, promises to be a patriotic masterpiece.
Expressing gratitude, Inspector Vijay Kumar thanked the Chief Minister of the state, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, DGP, and all police officers and staff for their unwavering support.
