About 6,000 Orphan Children Of The State Benefited Through ‘Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana’

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that about 6,000 orphan children of Himachal Pradesh would be benefited from the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Aashray Yojana’. This was stated by the Chief Minister in a program organized on Saturday late evening at Mandi Circuit House, adding that the state government has decided to adopt these children as “Children of the State.” Under the scheme, provisions have been made for funding their higher education, pocket money, self-employment and 3 Biswa land with an assistance of Rs. 3 lakh for the construction of the house and many more.

Chief Minister said that the present government, in its short tenure of about two months, has taken steps in the direction of system change and intends to extend the benefits of all its welfare schemes to every eligible beneficiary. The vision of the government will be crystal clear in the upcoming budget. He said that the present government is making necessary budgetary provisions before announcing the schemes and the state government has reinstated the old pension scheme and all the 10 guarantees will be implemented in a phased manner. He said that the previous government did not make any budget provision for the projects viz. Shivdham and Mandi airport, but the present government would also complete all the dream projects of the previous government.

Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that along with District Mandi, he is receiving a lot of love and respect from the people across the state and he is grateful for the same. MP and Pradesh Congress Committee President Pratibha Singh also spoke on the occasion and welcomed the Chief Minister. Various organizations and local people also honoured the Chief Minister. Earlier, the Chief Minister received a grand welcome at various places. Principal Advisor (Media) to Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan, MLA Chandra Shekhar, Former Minister Thakur Kaul Singh, Senior Congress leaders Champa Thakur, Chet Ram Thakur, Pawan Thakur and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
