HIMTREK 2026 continues to provide NCC cadets with a dynamic platform for adventure, physical fitness, experiential learning and cultural interaction, contributing significantly to their overall development.
On June 15, the day commenced with an invigorating session of Zumba and yoga aimed at enhancing fitness and boosting morale. Subsequently, Group A, comprising cadets from Shimla Group (PHHP&C Directorate), Rajasthan and Uttarakhand Directorates, embarked on the picturesque Tara Devi Trek. The activity was followed by an educational visit to the Science Museum, where cadets engaged in interactive learning experiences.
Meanwhile, Group B, consisting of cadets from MP & CG, JK&L and Punjab & Haryana Group (PHHP&C Directorate), undertook the Wakna Trek. The trek featured treasure hunts and team-building exercises that encouraged leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills among participants.
The evening session featured an inspiring address by SUO Parineeta of 1 HP Girls Battalion NCC, Solan, who shared her experiences from the Republic Day Camp (RDC) and Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) in Russia, motivating cadets to strive for excellence in their NCC journey.
On June 16, both groups exchanged trekking routes, enabling all participants to experience the scenic and challenging terrains of both Tara Devi and Wakna. The day’s activities culminated in an Inter-Directorate Group Song Competition, where cadets displayed their talent, creativity and cultural heritage, strengthening the spirit of camaraderie and national integration.
Through its blend of adventure, learning and cultural engagement, HIMTREK 2026 continues to leave a lasting impact on participating cadets, equipping them with valuable life skills and memorable experiences.
