Agnihotri launched the HIM Bus portal, enabling citizens to apply for HIM cards online, which will be delivered by post. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Axis, UCO, and Punjab National Bank for employee salary accounts, offering additional financial benefits. The state currently has 6,000 Common Service Centres (CSCs) facilitating online ticket bookings.

The board discussed the corporation’s financial status, service expansion plans, and employee-related issues, with Agnihotri affirming the government’s commitment to strengthening HRTC and providing improved passenger facilities.

Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister also chaired the 72nd Board meeting of Himachal Pradesh City Transport and Bus Stands Management and Development Authority (HPSCTBSMDA). He launched an Asset Management Application to improve transparency and efficiency in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of bus stands and assets.

It was reported that 410 shops across state bus stands generate a monthly income of Rs. 45 lakh. The Board approved construction of a shopping and parking complex at Theog market and a car parking facility with multipurpose hall at Mandi bus stand.

Agnihotri issued strict directions to expedite ongoing bus stand construction at Thunag, Darlaghat, Hamirpur, Baijnath, Bhoranj, and Fatehpur. He also instructed that tenders for new bus stands at Bilaspur, Mandi-Bharari, Baddi, and Jaisinghpur, as well as the car parking and commercial complex at Chamba, be completed promptly in a time-bound manner.
