The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated in Auckland House School for Boys, Shimla, with great patriotic fervour. The celebration began with a March Past to the tune of the Pipe Band played by the school boys. The Flag Hoisting Ceremony took place as Principal Micheal A John unfurled the Tricolour.

A special assembly was conducted by the Principal, where prayers were offered for the soldiers who are protecting our borders and the country, which was followed by a cultural programme. Students beautifully performed in the choir, band, poetry, recitation, dances and a short hindi play tittled ‘Azadi ki Jung’ with full nationalistic spirit.

The morning ended with the singing of the National Anthem and distribution of sweets to the students and the staff.
