The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) celebrated its 51st Raising Day with grandeur, pride and patriotic fervour at Indradhanush Auditorium, Sector-5, Panchkula on May 15, 2026, commemorating the successful completion of 50 glorious years since its establishment.
The prestigious event was graced by Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal as the Chief Guest, while Haryana Minister for Irrigation and Water Resources Shruti Choudhry, Punjab Water Resources Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal and Rajasthan Water Resources Minister Suresh Singh Rawat attended as special guests.
A commemorative Coffee Table Book highlighting BBMB’s remarkable journey and achievements over the decades was also unveiled during the event. Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries praised BBMB for its outstanding contribution to nation-building, particularly in the fields of power generation and irrigation, describing it as a symbol of progress, development and public service.
The celebrations became even more vibrant with colourful cultural performances presented by students of DAV School, BBMB, Nangal, who filled the occasion with energy and patriotic spirit, reflecting BBMB’s rich legacy and commitment towards a brighter future.
