Bhureshvar Mahadev Fair – Tourism Projects Unveiled

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the Bhureshvar Mahadev Temple Fair in the Pachhad constituency of Sirmaur district, unveiling a new idol of Lord Shiva and inaugurating the Van Vatika Bhureshvar and Kwagdhar helipad. The Chief Minister also emphasized the state’s vision to achieve self-reliance by 2027 and to become one of India’s most prosperous states by 2032.

Highlighting initiatives to support rural livelihoods, the Chief Minister announced the increased minimum support prices (MSP) for natural farming products, with wheat and maize set at Rs. 40 and Rs. 30 per kilogram, respectively. MSP for cow and buffalo milk was also raised to Rs. 45 and Rs. 55 per litre. He noted that the MNREGA daily wage rate has been raised to Rs. 300, providing a significant boost to rural incomes.

The Chief Minister also discussed education and healthcare reforms, with the recruitment of 6,000 teachers and a focus on enhancing infrastructure in existing schools to improve educational quality. Addressing past educational policy issues, he noted that newly opened schools under the previous government lacked adequate funding, impacting the state’s national ranking.

MLA Ajay Solanki, Former Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gangu Ram Musafir, and other prominent leaders attended the event.
