The newly approved proposals span a wide range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, auto components, food processing, cosmetics, and electric vehicles. Notable approvals include Angus Dundee India Pvt. Ltd. (Kangra) for manufacturing malt spirits, Jupiter Solartech Pvt. Ltd. (Baddi) for solar cell production, and OPG Mobility and Power Pvt. Ltd. for manufacturing electric vehicles and accessories.
Expansion plans of several existing units were also cleared, such as Campus Activewear Ltd. for footwear manufacturing, Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. for pharmaceutical formulations, and Siddhartha Super Spinning Mills Ltd. for synthetic yarn production.
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure each project proposal includes skill-wise employment details and stressed the need to attract more labour-intensive and green industries, including IT, ITeS, and tourism-related enterprises. He also suggested reviewing the transfer of lease rates in industrial areas and proposed formulating a conversion policy for industrial plots in inner areas.
