Top Boarding School Nationally – The senior most boys at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla started their final Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations this week with their English Language exam. The boys, who are from all over India, looked very smart going into their long-awaited exams – with five of them proudly wearing their ‘Full School Blazers’ awarded in recognition of their achievements and contributions to life at India’s oldest public school.
The bright blue blazers have been a tradition in the school for many years and reflect the fact that Bishop George Cotton himself went to Cambridge University before founding the school in 1859. Mr Weale the Director of BCS said ‘Although they have a few nerves, the boys are also relieved to be starting these important exams. We expect them all to do extremely well and to follow last year’s batchmates to universities across India as well as in the USA and UK. We wish them every success in the next few weeks’
