Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri on Friday announced the restoration of mini bus (tempo traveler) services on multiple routes in the Seraj region of Mandi district. The services, operated by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), aim to ease the transportation woes of residents who have faced significant disruptions due to recent natural calamities.
Agnihotri stated that the resumption of services will provide much-needed relief to the people of the area, particularly those in remote and hard-to-reach locations such as Bagsyad, Janjehli, Chhatri, Sarachi, Thunag, and Chiuni Chet. These tempo traveler routes have been strategically connected to other HRTC services at Bagsyad, facilitating smoother travel to key destinations including the district headquarters, Mandi.
He emphasized that the state government is prioritizing the restoration of essential services in disaster-affected areas like Seraj. “Ensuring a timely and smooth transport system is our responsibility, and the HRTC is actively working to meet that goal,” he said.
The Deputy CM reaffirmed the government’s commitment to rebuilding infrastructure and re-establishing connectivity in remote regions to support the daily lives and livelihoods of the affected communities.
