Laughter, music and excitement filled the air as Auckland House School hosted its much-anticipated Annual Carnival, turning the campus into a vibrant hub of creativity, entertainment and community engagement. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, alumni and visitors, making it one of the most lively celebrations on the school calendar.
The carnival was inaugurated in the presence of Sachin Sharma, IAS (2022 Batch), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, who attended as the Chief Guest. Impressed by the energy and enthusiasm on display, he praised the school for creating an environment where students can develop not only academically but also creatively and socially. He highlighted the importance of such events in nurturing confidence, leadership and a sense of responsibility among young minds.
The campus buzzed with activity throughout the day as visitors explored an array of attractions, including food courts, fun games, art galleries, handcrafted products, student-created souvenirs, mehndi and tattoo corners, and interactive entertainment zones. Every corner reflected the imagination, talent and entrepreneurial spirit of the students.
One of the major highlights of the day was a lively jam session that had visitors tapping their feet and added a festive rhythm to the celebrations. The blend of music, creativity and community participation created an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.
The carnival also became a reunion of sorts, bringing together alumni, current students and families, while attracting participation from students of various schools across Shimla. The event fostered a strong sense of community and showcased the school’s commitment to building meaningful connections beyond academics.
Principal Smaraki Smantaray said that the Annual Carnival is much more than a celebration—it is a platform where students learn teamwork, leadership, creativity and entrepreneurship through real-life experiences. She added that such initiatives play a crucial role in shaping confident and well-rounded individuals.
As the curtains came down on the day-long festivities, visitors lauded the students for their innovation, organisational skills and warm hospitality. The Annual Carnival once again reaffirmed Auckland House School’s reputation as an institution that blends academic excellence with creativity, character-building and community values.
