You can never have enough stories about a place or a destination, but something intriguing and fascinating always catch your eyes when you browse a bookshelf. Renowned author S R Harnot has many books to his credits, mostly Hindi, but his latest release Cats Talk is an amazing collection of 12 short stories translated into English and edited by Prof. Meenakshi F Paul and Dr. Khem Raj Sharma together. The book is scheduled to be launched on 1st October by Cambridge Scholars (UK) who have have already put this book on their website for worldwide sales and will be available on Amazon as well.

Both the translators have worked on six short stories of Harnot where as other contributors are renowned scholars Prof. Ravi Nandan Sinha, Prof. R K Shukla, Prof. Ira Raja and Prof. Manjari Tiwari. This book contains twelve translated short stories of S R Harnot which have already received a lot of praise from critics and readers in Hindi language.

S R Harnot has 12 Hindi short stories books to his credit including five books on Himachal’s history, culture and accounts of travels to remote areas. A proud moment not only for the author and its editors, translators but also for Himachal State as he is perhaps the first Hindi author whose work has been published by a world famous publisher Cambridge Scholars. Some of these stories have already translated in many regional languages in India and are now featured in BA, MA and PhD syllabus in various Universities. He has a number of students and researchers who are pursuing MPhil’s and Phd’s from many Universities in India including HP University.

The editors of this book, Meenakshi F. Paul is Professor of English at the HP University Centre of Evening Studies, she is a renowned translator and poet whereas Khem Raj Sharma is Assistant Professor of English in the Department of English and European Languages at the School of Humanities and Languages of the Central University of HP.
