The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organized a one-day workshop on stress management on 14 June 2025 at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla. The workshop aimed to educate teachers about stress and effective strategies to manage it. Dr. Shivani Sharma, Principal of Cecil Convent Senior Secondary School, Ambala Cantt, and Dr. Rakesh Sachdeva, a CBSE resource person, served as the keynote speakers and facilitators for the workshop.
The event began with a warm welcome from Sharon Nanda, Vice Principal of St. Thomas’ School, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony. The Principal Chakravarty felicitated the resource persons and set the tone for the day. In a solemn moment, Mrs. Chakravarty along with all participants observed two minutes of silence in tribute to the lives lost in the recent Air India tragedy in Ahmedabad. She also provided a concise overview of the day’s proceedings.
Teachers from St. Thomas’ School and several neighboring institutions, including Trinity International School Fagu, Rashtriya Military School Chail, Raja Dilip Singh Memorial School Halog, Chapslee School Shimla, and Lakshya Convent School Arki, participated in the workshop. A total of 55 educators from across the region attended. At the conclusion, Anshul Sharma, STNC of St. Thomas’ School, expressed gratitude to the keynote speakers and the participating teachers from various schools. Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty thanked all involved for their cooperation and successful organization of the event. She also assured that CBSE will continue to hold similar workshops on core subjects and in-house training in the future.
