Students are taught a set curriculum in school, and most of the times it is seen that children are buried in books, but with improved and innovative teaching methods adopted by schools, our very own kids are set to take on the dias at a young age. To experience one such event, a seminar was organized by the students of Class VII, St Thomas School, Shimla, who presented their views on the World Water Day. School Principal Vidhupriya Chakarvarty, Resource Persons Surender Sharma and Parent Partners Promilla Sharma and Ranjeet Verma were present on the occasion.
While students of Class VIII presented their views on World Forest Day which was witnessed by Resource Person Anshu Gupta and Parent Partner Gitanjali Birla. The children spoke beautifully on these topics while discussing important issues such as animals and birds of Himachal and paper conservation.The students enthusiastically participated in an interactive session with the stake holders. The principal also enlightened the children about the World Sparrow Day and the necessity for the human race to strike a balance.
