
St. Thomas’ School in Shimla is celebrating its centenary this year. As part of this series of celebrations, a Centenary Carnival was organized at the school on Friday. Dr. Pooja Negi Rajta, who is a doctor at IGMC and is an alumna of St. Thomas’ School, attended as the chief guest. She mentioned that the school is making great progress and such events provide an opportunity for everyone to meet. She also expressed pride in being an alumna of the school, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
The school’s principal, Vidhupriya Chakravarty, stated that the school organizes a fete/carnival every year, where various stalls are set up by the students and teachers, and different games are organized. Students from various schools, including Shimla Public School, Auckland House Girls and Boys School, among others, participated in the carnival.
Several game stalls were set up at the carnival, including Wheel of Fortune, Target Shooting, Apna Hatt, Lucky Dip, Horse Race, Tambola and many more. There were also many food stalls offering pastries, burgers, cold drinks, ice cream, chowmein, biryani, burgers, and more, which everyone enjoyed. It is noteworthy that St. Thomas’ School is completing its 100 years this year.
