Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur along with his wife Dr. Sadhna Thakur called on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Raj Bhavan yesterday and extended Deepawali greetings to him. Later, Mayor, Municipal Corporation Shimla Satya Kaundal, Councilors, Vice Chancellors, senior officers of the State Government and prominent people from different walks of life also called on the Governor to greet him on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur celebrated the festival of Deepawali with the people of the State at his official residence Oak Over yesterday. Political leaders, senior bureaucrats, police officers and people from different walks of the life visited Oak Over to greet the Chief Minister on the occasion of Deepawali. He wished the people happy Deepawali and prosperous year ahead.
