Mimansa 2025, a three-day literary and cultural festival jointly organized by the Language and Culture Department, Himachal Pradesh, and Keekli Charitable Trust, concluded on a high note with a captivating and thought-provoking finale. Devdutt Pattanaik and Shriniwas Joshi in Dialogue

The closing session featured an enriching conversation between renowned mythologist and author Devdutt Pattanaik and esteemed writer Shriniwas Joshi. Their dialogue explored the significance of mythology in contemporary literature and highlighted Devdutt’s impactful contributions to children’s literature in India.

Presence of Dignitaries and Guests

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, Director Dr. Pankaj Lalit, Joint Director Manjit Sharma, and respected literary personalities such as Shriniwas Joshi and Dr. Usha Bande. Parents, students, and invited guests attended in large numbers, reinforcing the community’s support for the literary arts.

Dramatized Reading of Koko and Nanhi Nav

One of the most heartwarming sessions of the day was the dramatized reading of the children’s book Koko and Nanhi Nav. Young readers Snehal, Dhruv, Sraagvi, and Aardhya brought the story to life with their expressive performances. This session, guided by theatre professional Sohaila Kapur, emphasized the importance of developing reading habits among children. Her mentorship in the days leading up to the event significantly enhanced the quality of the presentation and the confidence of the participants.

Spotlight on Dr. Sona Sharma’s Children’s Books

Another engaging segment showcased two children’s books by Dr. Sona Sharma — Mandeep Meets Mandeep and The Adventures of Boonda and Boondi. Moderated by Mimanshi Chaudhry, the discussion featured thoughtful reviews and reflections by young critics Amritha Doegar, Srisha, Mrinali, and Nivedita. Their insights offered a fresh, youthful perspective on contemporary storytelling for children.

Felicitation Ceremony

The festival concluded with a felicitation ceremony where winners were recognized for their talent, creativity, and dedication. All awardees received certificates, cash prizes, and mementos of appreciation, adding a memorable touch to the finale.

Looking Ahead to Mimansa Season 4

Mimansa 2025 proved to be a vibrant platform for promoting literature, storytelling, and cultural expression among children and young adults. The organizers expressed their enthusiasm for continuing this creative journey and shared their plans to return with Mimansa Season 4 next year.
