CM Launches Him Vic App and Releases Three Booklets of Vigilance Bureau

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today launched Him Vic (Vigilance investigation Checklists) App, which is the first of its kind in the country as this is a comprehensive mechanism in ensuring transparency and accountability.
The Chief Minister said that this App allows the Investigation Officers to time stamp the responses by ticking a check box after that particular task has been achieved, which would ensure the proper monitoring of the progress of the investigation on real time basis.

The State Government will provide all possible assistance to the Police Department for its modernization, said the Chief Minister, adding that in the era of technology and digitalization new crime patterns are emerging and to respond these challenges use of modern technology is requisite.  Present State Government is committed to provide corruption free governance and has zero tolerance policy against corruption, said Sh. Sukhu. He reiterated that the State Government would ensure the maximum use of 5G and other cutting edge technologies to provide quick service and justice to the people of the State.

The State Government is working on revamping of the system and redressal of public grievances was accorded top priority, he added.

The Chief Minister also released three booklets of the Vigilance Bureau viz. Investigation of Trap Cases, Investigation of Disproportionate Assets cases and Investigation of other Anti-Corruption Offices. He said that these booklets would go a long way in speeding up the investigations of various cases and would also provide quick reach for finer nuances and intricacies of investigation.

ADGP Vigilance Satwant Atwal Trivedi welcomed the Chief Minister and elaborated the activities of the department.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Principal Advisor IT and Innovation Gokul Butail,  ADGP Law and Order Abhishek Trivedi, Director Vigilance Rajeshwar Goel, Director Prosecution Mohinder Chauhan and other senior officers of the Police Department were also present on  the occasion.
