Quality education is on the priority list of the State Government and directed the officers concerned, to submit a report regarding the sitting arrangements and the present condition of school buildings, right from 1st to 12th standard by 15th February, 2023 while presiding over the MLAs priority meeting for the proposed annual budget plan here today, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu held meetings with the legislators of Una, Hamirpur, Sirmaur and Kullu on the first day.
District Una
MLA, Gagret, Chaitanya Sharma said that there was a dire need of sewerage scheme in Mubarakpur. He also urged for installation of 50 mini tube wells in a faced manner and proposed the construction of four roads and two flyovers in the area. He apprised that land acquisition has been started for the construction of schools and two places have been finalized for installing charging stations for electrical vehicles. Apart from this MLA, Sadar, Satpal Singh Satti for speeding up the process of Administrative Approvals and Expenditure Sanctions. He congratulated Sukhu for assuming the office of Chief Minister and said that with collaborated efforts of all, the State will tread ahead on the path of development. MLA, Kutlehar, Devender Bhutto also shared his views and raised demands and issues pertaining to the developmental aspects.
District Hamirpur
MLA, Badsar, Inder Dutt Lakhanpal urged for constructing a bus stand at Badsar, and for adequate finances for refurbishing the school buildings and the existing schemes of Jal Shakti department in his area. MLA Sujanpur, Rajender Rana said that less amount has been spent under NABARD in his constituency. He said that DPR’s of seven Roads has been prepared but the amount is not being sanctioned by the NABARD. He urged to release the amount to the earliest. MLA, Bhoranj, Suresh Kumar placed a proposal of 24 hour water supply scheme for the area. He urged to increase the limit of Rs. 150 crore for the developmental works under NABARD. MLA, Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur, advocated for setting up a veterinary institute at Taal, assuring that the land was available for the same with Animal husbandry department. He also urged for a sewerage scheme at Anu.
District Kullu
MLA, Manali, Bhuvneshwar Gaur, stressed the need for adequate parking facilities in Manali and nearby tourists destinations. He also raised various development issues pertaining to his area. MLA, Banjar Surinder Shouri urged for developing the virgin destinations for giving a boost to eco-tourism and raised his concern over haphazard construction at famous tourists’ destinations. MLA, Anni, Lokendar Kumar urged for the construction of a Bagha Sarahan to Badhaan tunnel near Pachleu Jot and also raised the issue of staff and lab facility at Ani hospital.
District Sirmaur
MLA, Pachhad, Reena Kashyap while congratulating the Sh. Sukhu for assuming the office of Chief Minister asked for constructing a rope-way for the famous religious destination, Churdhaar, a birthplace of Shirgul devta from tourism point of view. MLA, Nahan, Ajay Solanki, raised the issue of the construction of the medical college Nahan at a snail’s pace and parking and alternate road for Nahan town. He also urged for providing land to the landless and to tighten the noose against drug pedlars adjoining border areas. MLA Renuka, Vinay Kumar advocated for providing additional facilities to promote religious tourism in his assembly segment. He also suggested a ropeway at Nauradhaar or Haripurdhar. MLA, Paonta Sahib, Sukh Ram Chaudhary asked for the construction of the approach road of the bridge connecting Uttrakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
