CM Sukhu Pushes for Quick Completion of Niketan

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the ongoing construction site of Himachal Niketan at Dwarka, New Delhi, today to review the progress. The project, being built at an approximate cost of Rs. 145 crore, will feature 107 rooms, a restaurant, banquet hall, multipurpose hall, meeting hall, dormitories, parking, garden, EV charging stations, and other modern facilities.

The Chief Minister emphasized that Himachal Niketan, offering near five-star amenities, will provide comfortable accommodation for Himachalis visiting the national capital for treatment, education, or other purposes. He directed officers to complete the project within six months, highlighting the government’s commitment to being responsive to the needs of its citizens.

Speaker of HP Vidhan Sabha, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, appreciated the state government’s initiative, noting that it will benefit students and patients who frequently travel to Delhi.

Principal Secretary PWD, Devesh Kumar, briefed the Chief Minister on the project details and progress, ensuring all timelines and standards are being adhered to.
