The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s decisive action in dissolving the Subordinate Services Selection Commission in Hamirpur, citing allegations of corruption and paper leaks. He emphasized the government’s focus on meaningful development, citing the ₹28 crore allocation for the Baglamukhi Ropeway project as an example.
Major Policy Reforms and Economic Relief
The Chief Minister outlined significant policy measures, including:
- Restoring the Old Pension Scheme for 1.36 lakh employees.
- Increasing MNREGA wages from ₹240 to ₹300.
- Raising milk procurement prices: ₹45/litre for cow milk and ₹55/litre for buffalo milk.
- Providing ₹4,500 crore in disaster relief packages.
Healthcare and Education Improvements
He criticized the previous government for under-equipped hospitals and praised initiatives like:
- Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Yojana for 6,000 orphan children.
- Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana, covering education costs for children of widowed and single women.
Infrastructure and Tourism Expansion
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri highlighted upcoming projects:
- Shimla Ropeway with an outlay of ₹1,750 crore, poised to be the second-largest in the world.
- Ropeway projects at Rohtang, Bijli Mahadev, Baba Balaknath, and Chintpurni.
- Procurement of 1,000 new HRTC buses, including 350 electric ones.
