A District Level Deliberation Workshop on Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) was successfully organized at Teresa Ball Hall to enhance awareness of emerging digital skills among educators and promote innovative teaching methodologies.
The workshop aimed at strengthening problem-solving abilities and integrating AI-based learning approaches into classroom teaching. Teachers from various schools across the district participated in the event, making it a collaborative platform for sharing ideas and best practices.
The session featured expert resource persons including Ms. Parul Jhingta (BCA Faculty, Rajiv Gandhi Government College, Kotshera, Shimla), Dr. Priyanka (Assistant Professor, Computer Applications, G.D.C. Sanjauli, Shimla), and Ms. Nivedita Bhardwaj (Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, St. Bede’s College, Shimla). The experts elaborated on the growing significance of CT and AI in modern education and demonstrated practical tools and classroom applications to enhance teaching effectiveness.
The workshop included interactive discussions, group activities, and hands-on sessions that kept participants actively engaged. Educators discussed how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the future of education and emphasized the importance of equipping students with strong digital and analytical skills.
Teachers from Loreto Convent and other institutions such as Saraswati Paradise International Public School (Sanjauli), Trinity International School (Fagu), Central School for Tibetan (Chotta Shimla), Chandernahan Meadows, CST Shimla, and others participated in the programme.
The event concluded with a feedback session where participants appreciated the initiative and expressed their intent to implement the newly learned strategies in their respective classrooms.

The Principal congratulated the winners and felicitated the resource persons, while the workshop was widely acknowledged as an enriching and inspiring academic initiative for all participants.
