Bishop Cotton School and Auckland House School for Girls are all set to bring Shimla alive with a spectacular joint production of the internationally acclaimed musical Fame, celebrating music, theatre, dance and youthful creativity in an energetic showcase of talent. The grand performances will be held on May 17 at Irwin Hall, Bishop Cotton School, followed by a special presentation on May 19 at the iconic Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, featuring students from both institutions in a vibrant theatrical collaboration built on months of dedicated rehearsals and artistic teamwork.
Inspired by the journey of young aspirants chasing dreams in the performing arts, Fame highlights passion, perseverance and self-expression through powerful choreography, dynamic musical sequences and engaging storytelling. The production will be graced by acclaimed actress, producer and author Shweta Padda as Chief Guest, known for her notable work in Indian musical theatre and acclaimed productions such as Mughal-e-Azam and Umrao Jaan, along with her contributions to films, web series and literature.
The schools have emphasized that the initiative goes beyond performance, aiming to nurture confidence, creativity and collaboration among students while strengthening Shimla’s rich cultural and theatrical legacy. The event is expected to draw theatre lovers, alumni, parents and art enthusiasts for a memorable celebration of youth, art and performance excellence.
