Junior Section of DAV School, Lakkar Bazaar celebrated their sports day here today as Mohit Prem Sharma, Bureau Chief, Zee Communication Ltd., graced the occasion with his esteemed presence as the chief guest. The event began with lamp lightening ceremony, followed by a Saraswati Vandana, after which it was the turn of an impressive March Past and various drill displays by students.
During the event students from Lower Kindergarten to Second Class participated in various races including the flat race, duck race, bumble bee race, bangle race, jumping race and the bird race. Students exhibited great talent in Karate while showcasing their self defense skills. Students from various classes gave excellent performances in hopping, one leg, book balance, balloon burst, necklace, flower in basket, kangaroo, stick & ball, drop and pop, water bottle and rolling the ball races.
While speaking on the occasion, Bureau Chief Sharma expressed his great pleasure in watching the little ones perform so well. He felt honoured to be part of the day and congratulated the entire staff, students and parents for the success of the event.
Winners were awarded certificates and medals and the day finally concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Principal Kamana Beri as she expressed her deep gratitude towards Mohit Prem Sharma for taking out time from his busy schedule. She appreciated the efforts put in by little ones and teachers for making this day a grand success as she congratulated all the winners and encouraged others to give in their best in the future as well.
