Delegation of Geographical Society call on Governor

A delegation of the office bearers of the Geographical Society of Himachal Pradesh led by its President D.D. Sharma called on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Raj Bhavan, today. They urged the Governor that the geography subject be introduced as a compulsory subject in all schools and colleges of the State from the academic session 2022-23. They said that it would not only meet the long pending demand of the students and their society but would also address the aspirations and provisions laid down in National Education Policy-2020. The Governor said that their demand would be considered sympathetically.
