Developing Debating Skills at GNFPS — Debate Competition

gnfps.debate.27.8 (4)Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Mohali whose aim is to nurture the future citizens of the society keeps organizing different events to inculcate confidence and develop problem solving skills and critical thinking. A debate competition was held in GNFPS with much gusto. It was an inter-house competition which was organized at a grand level. It gave an awesome opportunity to the student to exhibit their talents. Four teams that participated were Prakash, Upkar, Pragati and Vigyan. The topic for the English debate was ‘Should gnfps.debate.27.8 (3)Death Penality Be Abolished’? Each team showed their talents and presented strong arguments in favour as well as against the topic. It showed their highly polished argumentative convincing skills. It was a tough competition as each team presented its view in the most effective manner.

Prakash house was the winning team. The winners were honoured by School Principal Namita Lal who appreciated the participants enthusiasm and encouraged the children’s involvement and whole-hearted participation in such activities. She also thanked the respective teachers for their commendable efforts.
