The Directorate of School Education, Himachal Pradesh, has issued a directive to all Deputy Directors of School Education (Secondary and Elementary) regarding the scheduling of annual functions in government schools.
It has come to the notice of the Directorate that several schools are planning to hold their annual functions in December 2025, which is contrary to the Government’s instructions outlined in letter No. EDU-C-B(15)9/2022-L dated 09.12.2024. A copy of the referenced letter has been enclosed with the communication.
The Directorate has reiterated that all government schools must celebrate their annual functions strictly between 1st November and 30th November each year to ensure that students’ academic activities are not disrupted.
Deputy Directors have been instructed to ensure that all Heads of Institutions under their jurisdiction comply fully with this guideline. Schools failing to adhere to the directive may face strict disciplinary action.
The directive has also been circulated to all BEEOs, Heads of Educational Institutions, and uploaded on the Directorate’s website for wider dissemination.
