Dry Day in Shimla: No Alcohol Sales During Election Period

Issuing the order, District Magistrate Shimla Anupam Kashyap said that in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, a dry day has been declared from 6 pm on May 30 to 6 pm on June 1, 2024, up to a radius of 3 kilometers in the district Shimla and the border with other states is done.

He said that apart from this, the counting day of June 4, 2024 will also remain a dry day till the counting of votes is completed. He said that during this period, there will be a ban on sale and distribution of narcotics in hotels, dhabas, shops or public and private places.
