A delegation from Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), led by Managing Director Nipun Jindal, met Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today to inform him about the four National Awards recently won by HRTC at the National Public Transport Excellence Awards 2023-24 held in New Delhi.
The Deputy Chief Minister congratulated the HRTC employees for their exceptional dedication and hard work, which has earned the corporation national recognition. He emphasized that HRTC is a lifeline for the hilly state, with its employees being the backbone, serving lakhs of people around the clock. He also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to the welfare of HRTC employees and its ongoing efforts to strengthen the corporation and improve public transport services in the state.
Nipun Jindal briefed the Deputy Chief Minister about the awards received by HRTC, which included the first prize of Rs. 50,000 in the Tyre Performance Award category. The corporation also secured second prizes in the Digital Transactions Award, Vehicle Utilization Award, and Employee Productivity Award, each worth Rs. 25,000. In total, HRTC received Rs. 1,25,000 in prize money, reflecting its significant contributions to the public transport sector.
