In a vibrant exchange of ideas and experiences, students from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur and various universities of Telangana, who are participating in Yuva Sangam Phase-V, interacted with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhawan today. The event, part of the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” scheme, aims to foster cultural understanding and unity among the youth of the nation.

During the program, students shared their experiences with the Governor, highlighting the impact of the Yuva Sangam initiative in promoting cultural engagement. The Governor, in his address, emphasized the importance of such programs in strengthening the unity and bonds among the youth of India.
He noted that India’s rich knowledge traditions have earned global recognition, and throughout history, foreign travelers have come to India to explore and study the Vedas. As their understanding deepened, they became increasingly impressed with India’s vast intellectual heritage. The Governor remarked, “If you want to learn something, then learn from the Vedas, and if you want to understand, then understand India.”
The Governor also urged students to take pride in their cultural heritage and adopt it in their lives. He stressed that India’s global respect has never been higher, and even developed nations acknowledge India’s leadership, which is a testament to the country’s growing strength on the world stage.
Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, Prof. Satprakash Bansal, also addressed the gathering. He highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh, inspiring students to appreciate the region’s unique traditions and values. Dr. Param Singh, the Nodal Officer for Yuva Sangam Phase-V, welcomed and honored the Governor during the event, marking the occasion with warmth and gratitude.
The Yuva Sangam initiative continues to be an important platform for fostering unity, promoting cultural exchange, and strengthening the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” among India’s youth.
