Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over a meeting with the officers of Information and Public Relations Department and media coordinators here today directed to ensure use of latest technology in communication and various modes of media for effective dissemination of information. The Chief Minister asked the officers and coordinators to work promptly to make people aware about the welfare schemes, policies and programmes and developmental achievements of the state government. Jai Ram Thakur said that the schemes of the government have yielded positive results at ground level. The department should effectively disseminate facts regarding the success of the schemes and the beneficiaries.
He stressed the need to work with more commitment for dissemination of developmental news and better coordination with the media. The Chief Minister said that the successful implementation of various schemes of the State Government should reflect the positive changes brought in the lives of the people of the State. He also directed to prepare an effective plan in this direction and ensure its implementation. Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh, Principal Secretary Information and Public Relations Subhasish Panda, Director Information and Public Relations Harbans Singh Brascon, Additional Director Aarti Gupta, Joint Directors, Senior Officers of Press Liaison Offices located at Delhi and Chandigarh, Media Coordinator (Mandi) Purushotam Sharma, Media Coordinator (Dharamsala) Vishwachakshu, Media Coordinator (Delhi) Pranav Goswami and senior officers of the department were also present among others.
