The 151st Founders’ Day was celebrated at Auckland House School on as a number of old Girls returned to their Alma Mater to celebrate this festive occasion. The day began with a prayer service which was followed by a short cultural programme.
The cultural programme commenced with an opening hymn wherein the girls sang beautifully. Next, the English Play ‘Love is the Best Doctor’ was staged which exhibited not only the acting but the dancing skills of the Auckyites. Hitherto, there was a performance by the Senior Choir who sang melodiously. Thereafter, a tribal dance from Chhatisgarh was presented which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.
This was followed by two hymns which were sung by the Junior Choir. The Aucky Band was next in line, and they enthralled the audience with their power packed performance. The programme came to a close with a vibrant dance which showcased the colourful life of the people of Rajasthan.
In the afternoon a Cricket match and Tug of War was held between the old Girls’ and the Form XII students wherein the latter stole the show with their exuberant performance. Thus, Founders’ Day was a grand success and everyone enjoyed thoroughly.
