A free health camp was organised at Rajkiya Varishth Madhyamik Pathshala, Mashobra by YWCA of Simla. A team of doctors from Simla Sanitarium & Hospital — Dr. Priyanka and Dr. Geetika and from Rippon Hospital — Dr. Varsha and Dr. Bhupender, Retd. as Distt. Health Officer, DDU, Shimla, medically examined the students of the school and residents of different villages in Mashobra Panchayat.
Specialists from the field of Medicine, Eye and Dental examined the patients and gave health counselling. The facility to check blood sugar was made available for specific patients by Himachal Medical Representatives Unit — Jyoti, Bhupender and Rajesh. Medical examination of around 330 persons was done with free distribution of medicines.
The Principal of the school and Pradhan of Mashobra Panchayat were also present on the occasion. Subidha Devi (Member, YWCA of Simla and Member, Red Cross and Prashant Chauhan, volunteer, were also present on the occasion along with Rohini Singh, General Secretary of YWCA of Simla. Such camps will be organised by the YWCA of Simla in collaboration with various hospitals in future also for the benefit of public, general secretary stated.
