St Thomas School, Shimla organised the Annual Science Exhibition in the school campus, event which saw students from Classes III to X come up with some exciting and interesting projects, while the non-participants took the role of inquisitive visitors.
There were a variety of topics covered by the students ranging from volcanoes to the human heart and the greenhouse effect. Simple experiments underlining the concepts of Chemistry and Physics were carried out and explained. The models were self explanatory but were effectively and elaborately e
xplained by the students.
The teachers pointed out that the projects were a collaborated effort of teams of students who had worked together under the able-guidance of their mentors. The raw material used included thermacol sheets, charts and recycled commonplace items.
Such endeavours, as pointed out by the school, make learning a fun process besides clearing concepts and giving the students oodles of confidence.
